RUTABAGA FRIES

“Homemade" fries, delicious and crispy!

INGREDIENTS FOR 6 PORTIONS

  • ½ rutabaga
  • 1 tbsp. vegetable oil or olive oil
  • Salt, pepper and paprika

PREPARATION

Peel and cut half of a rutabaga into ½ inch by 3-inch (1 cm x 8 cm) sticks.
Mix in a large bowl 1 tbsp. (15 ml) vegetable oil and a pinch of salt, pepper and paprika.
Add turnips and toss to coat well.
Spread the turnip fries on a baking sheet and cook in the oven at 400°F for 20 minutes, until done. Turn fries over halfway through the baking process.
Wipe the fries with paper towel to absorb excess oil before serving.
