Leblanc Bio

Leblanc Bio, producer of organic vegetables

LEBLANC BIO is the organic division of JPL Maraîcher. We launched this division in 2017 in response to the increasing demand for organic products. This growing method is naturally in line with our corporate vision since we have the land, the environment, and their preservation at heart.

At Leblanc Bio, we strive for excellence in terms of organic vegetable production. Our desire to reinvent ourselves and innovate has led us to obtain the following organic certifications: ECOCERT, Aliments du Québec bio, and USDA Organic. We are proud to put these seals on our beetroots, potatoes, carrots, soy, and prairies.

We have made significant investments in this division, especially through the purchase of equipment dedicated to organic horticulture. The flame weeder is one of the acquisitions we are most proud of. It allows us to weed our crops in the most natural way possible.

Finally, at Leblanc Bio, we are proud of the quality and freshness of our organic vegetables. Distributed throughout Quebec’s major food chains and wholesalers, they are appreciated by millions of customers.

Our passion for the vegetable-growing industry and the love we put in our work guarantee you the genuine taste of good old-fashioned organic vegetables.

Organic associations and certifications

Aliments du Québec bio

Aliments du Québec bio is a division of the Aliments du Québec brand whose mission is to promote the Quebec agri-food industry and contribute to its development, growth, and visibility. It allows the organic production method to be associated with the certification of the origin of food. The brand helps consumers to easily find the good organic products grown and prepared in the province of Quebec.

ECOCERT Canada is a control and certification body and one of the leaders in organic and environmental certification in the Canadian market. The organization’s mission is to ensure the integrity of organic products throughout the food production chain. The traceability of production methods described by organic standards is at the basis of ECOCERT certification. The elements it considers in agricultural production include field history, inputs, and methods used.

USDA Organic

USDA Organic is the organic certification of the USDA (United States Department of Agriculture). It allows a farm or processing facility to sell, label and present its products as organic. USDA-accredited certifying officers are responsible for ensuring that organic products meet all applicable organic standards.
