Our three divisions are members of different associations, and each has specific certifications. We are very proud of them because they reflect the rigour and passion we put into our work. They are also proof of our commitment to offering you fresh products of superior quality.

The mission of the “J’aime 5 à 10 portions par jour” (I love 5 to 10 servings a day) campaign is to raise consumer awareness of the importance of fruit and vegetables in a healthy lifestyle. Entirely funded by the fresh produce industry, it aims to share the pleasure of eating fruits and vegetables and the benefits that this small gesture has on our health.

Produce Growers Association

logo apmqThe Quebec Produce Growers Association is a business group that promotes the development of the horticultural sector and looks after the interests of its 400 members. It offers services related to production, positively influences the marketing of market gardeners’ products, and makes presentations to decision-makers to raise awareness and negotiate its members’ issues.

Bureau de normalisation du Québec (BNQ)

The Bureau de normalisation du Québec is mandated by the government to lead standardization activities in Quebec. The BNQ focuses on four business sectors: standardization, certification, laboratory evaluation, and other services. It identifies needs, develops normative and relevant strategies, develops certification programs, disseminates information on standards, and acts as Quebec’s voice within the Standards Council of Canada.

 

 

CanadaGap

CanadaGap is a food safety program for companies that produce, handle, and broker fruits and vegetables. It participates in the maintenance and implementation of food safety procedures on fresh fruit and vegetable farms. Two manuals have also been developed by CanadaGap to enable production, packaging, and storage companies to implement Good Agricultural Practices (GAPs) and to enable repackaging and wholesale companies to use good manufacturing practices.

Québec Produce Marketing Association (QPMA)

Association québécoise de la distribution de fruits et légumesQuébec Produce Marketing Association (QPMA) is an organization that brings together active members in the entire fruit and vegetable sector. Its mission is to create an environment conducive to the development of fruit and vegetable marketing in Quebec. It also plays a leading role in the promotion of these foods and represents and defends the interests of its members towards the various government authorities and the industry. Through its campaigns, it also promotes the importance of fruit and vegetable consumption in the adoption of healthy lifestyles and, consequently, increases sales of these products for the benefit of its members.

Canadian Seed Growers’ Association (CSGA)

acpsThe Canadian Seed Growers’ Association (CSGA) is a non-profit organization whose mission is to represent the interests of Canadian seed producers. This is the only organization that monitors and certifies pedigreed seeds for all agricultural crops in Canada except potatoes. CSGA is involved in the development of new technologies, procedures, and policies to monitor and regulate the production and policies to protect its members, both at home and abroad.

SeCan

SeCanSeCan is the largest supplier of certified seed to Canadian farmers with more than 800 members across the country. The primary mission of this private group is to promote the accessibility and promotion of advanced genetics and to provide Canadian farmers with high-performance varieties of grains, oilseeds, legumes, special crops, and grasses.

Aliments du Québec

Aliments du Québec bio is a division of the Aliments du Québec brand whose mission is to promote the Quebec agri-food industry and contribute to its development, growth, and visibility. It allows the organic production method to be associated with the certification of the origin of food. The brand helps consumers to easily find the good organic products grown and prepared in the province of Quebec.

ECOCERT Canada

Ecocert

ECOCERT Canada is a control and certification body and one of the leaders in organic and environmental certification in the Canadian market. The organization’s mission is to ensure the integrity of organic products throughout the food production chain. The traceability of production methods described by organic standards is at the basis of the ECOCERT certification. The elements it considers in agricultural production include field history, inputs, and methods used.

USDA Organic

USDA Organic USDA Organic is the organic certification of the USDA (United States Department of Agriculture). It allows a farm or processing facility to sell, label and present its products as organic. USDA-accredited certifying officers are responsible for ensuring that organic products meet all applicable organic standards.
