Low-calorie fries!
INGREDIENTS FOR 6 PORTIONS
- ½ rutabaga, peeled and cut into ½ inch by 3-inch sticks
- 1 tbsp. vegetable oil or olive oil
- (1/2 tsp.) seasoning for roasted potatoes
PREPARATION
Peel and cut half of a rutabaga ½ inch by 3-inch (1 cm x 8 cm) sticks.
Mix in a large bowl 1 tbsp. (15 ml) of vegetable oil and herb mixture.
Add turnips and toss to coat well.
Spread the rutabaga fries on a baking sheet and cook in the oven at 400°F for 20 minutes, until done. Turn fries over halfway through the baking process.
Wipe the fries with paper towel to absorb excess oil before serving.
